In Memory of Bill 1950-2022
William W. Dowden, IV was a life long resident of Rhinebeck. Bill graduated from Rhinebeck High School and Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. He entered the insurance industry upon graduation from Jacksonville when he purchased the Laura Wildey-Ham Agency. Bill is a member of Rhinebeck Lodge #432 F. & A.M.; Rotary Club of Rhinebeck, NY and Third Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rhinebeck, NY. Bill was a past board member of Starr Library and past board member and President of Wilderstein Historic Site. He served his community for over 15 years as Rhinebeck Town Councilman and Town Supervisor.
Carl F. Dowden is currently a resident of Red Hook, NY. Carl graduated from Rhinebeck High School and Husson University in Bangor, ME. Upon graduation from Husson, Carl joined his brother Bill as a sales representative at Dowden Agency. Carl is a member of Rhinebeck Lodge #432 F. & A.M.; Rotary Club of Red Hook, NY and Third Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rhinebeck, NY. He is chairman of The Red Hook Rotary Foundation. Carl has two professional designations from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA – Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.
